Art on the Lawn is back for the 2019 summer season! Join the Provincetown Public Library for a fun and interactive summer arts and crafts experience for children of all ages. The front lawn of the historic building will be transformed into a creative space for kids to experiment with different materials, while exploring their own artistic imaginations. To showcase each child’s own artistic self-expression, kids will be encouraged to use different mediums, selected by the library, to decorate a large blank canvas with their own creations. Potential mediums include paint, crayons, chalk, finger-paint, and markers. The kids will love it!
Big Ryan’s Tall Tales, an annual Family Week favorite, will return to the Library Children’s Area. The program features Big Ryan’s original stories, puppet play, a bit of music and movement and a whole lot of fun! Big Ryan’s programs are appropriate for preschool all the way to 5th grade. The program runs about 45 minutes but has been known to sometimes go a full hour!
Animal World Experience will visit the Provincetown Public Library to provide a fun, interactive, and educational animal presentation to audiences of all ages. The program will focus on local and exotic wildlife, the importance of protecting endangered special, and responsible pet ownership. Founder Matt Gabriel creates an animal presentation that is entertaining and also helps the audience to develop respect and awareness for animals of all kinds.
