All Gender Restrooms

Provincetown has designated its public restrooms as All Gender Restrooms to ensure that everyone—regardless of gender identity—has safe and equal access to public restrooms.

Massachusetts State Law prohibits discrimination based on gender identity in public accommodations, including restrooms.

This means that everyone has the right to use the restroom that best aligns with their gender identity.

View Provincetown’s Public Restrooms site for more information.

P.S. A few things to note about today! Did you know that Family Equality works all year-round to protect and support our families? That’s right! In addition to hosting Family Week every year, we work hard to ensure that everyone has the freedom to form, create and sustain their families through advocacy, programming and policy work. Learn more about how we’re protecting and supporting families like yours here.
