Join Family Equality, COLAGE, and hundreds of families from around the world for Family Week in Provincetown on July 25 - August 1, 2026!
From sunrise to sunset, Family Week offers opportunities for LGBTQ+ parents, children, extended families, and friends from across the globe to connect, build community, and get empowered. Thanks to the hard work of Family Equality and COLAGE, each day will be filled with programming options for the whole family as well as individual age groups.

Family Week occurs annually in Provincetown, Massachusetts, the unceded Native homelands of the Wampanoag Nation.
History: 30 Years in the Making
How did the largest annual gathering of LGBTQ+ families come to be? In the mid-90's, Tim Fisher and Scott Davenport brought their daughter, Kati, and son, Fritz, to Provincetown for a vacation. After a week of meeting other gay and lesbian parents at the beach, they invited about 15 of those families to their rental for dinner—and so the magic of Family Week was created!
In the decades that followed, Family Week evolved to become a safe haven for all queer-identified families—found, formed, and chosen—to create friendship and fun. In fact, we welcomed almost 600 families and more than 1,300 individuals to Family Week in 2025!
At a time when we’re seeing threats to our families’ freedoms everywhere from state legislatures to the highest court in the nation, this pride + joy is an act of resistance. And it all starts at Family Equality’s Family Week in Provincetown, MA!
