July 26 | 5:30 - 7:30pm | “Under the Sea” at Motta Field

Presented by

Shake out your nautical stripes, lay out your leisure suits, toss in your mermaid tails, and get ready to shake your groove thingamabobs at the second annual Family Night. This year we are planting our family flags at Motta Field and turning it into a Boogie Wonder-sand to raise the critical funding Family Equality needs to continue to fight every day for all our families to be recognized and equal.

Join us for a night of gathering, grub, games, disco magic, and, most importantly, fun, supporting the vital work of Family Equality. The event is free for all to attend, and we ask you to make a meaningful donation on behalf of your family. Come hungry, ready to dance thanks to tunes from DJ Shiran, and dressed in your best nautical look.

FEATURING

Music by DJ Shiran

Registration is encouraged so we can have plenty of food and fun for all our oceanic explorers.

Note: Our rain date is July 27.

We had such a blast at last year’s Family Night (“Y’all Means All”), and we can’t wait to make new memories this year!

  • This is a new age equitable family picnic with fun for all ages! In addition to live music, there will be games and activities for youth (toddlers to teens), delicious dinner, photo moments, and a place for families to meet each other on the dance floor!

Note: The Town of Provincetown requires police officers to be present at some Family Week activities, depending on event size and other details. Provincetown police officers will be present at this event.

  • Toss on a nautical stripe, add some sparkle and show us how your family does Le Chic, sailor. Or opt to go full on oceanic opulence, reef realness, fish fabulousness, or, of course, mer-magnificence.

This year, we are hosting our first ever Walk the Plank-ton children’s fashion show during Family Night, so make sure to add FIN-TASTIC looks to your packing list for Family Week.

A note on costumes: We celebrate all identities, disabilities, and body types. Please keep the Community Agreements in mind when planning your attire. Please no patches, unless medically necessary.

  • This event is outside, so bring - lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray, and sunscreen!
