Fabulous families,

The Family Equality team is working hard to finalize the full schedule for Family Week 2023, and we know our families can’t wait to see what events are in store! The full schedule should be posted very soon, but in the meantime, we wanted to give you a little teaser of what’s to come…

Book Signing with Chasten Buttigieg

Monday, July 24 | 2:30pm | Crown & Anchor

Family Equality is thrilled to co-host this special event, where we will be celebrating the release of the young adult adaptation of Chasten Buttigieg’s memoir, I Have Something to Tell You (For Young Adults).

Adults of all ages, parents, kids, and anyone who’s ever felt like a fish out of water are welcome at this event where Chasten will speak with Family Equality's CEO, Stacey Stevenson, about his experience coming out and how he’s healed from the painful responses and isolation; his journey to finding acceptance and self-love; and how to pass the torch and support younger generations who feel isolated or unworthy of love. Chasten’s ultimate goal is to show young people that they are not alone and to inspire them to forge their own path to acceptance.

Get to the Bottom of It with the Center for Coastal Studies

Thursday, July 27 | 12:30pm | SEA Space in Whaler's Wharf

Children ages 6-12 are invited to join the Center for Coastal Studies on the beach in downtown Provincetown for an exploration of marine life. Use a special net to collect samples from the shallow waters, then use a microscope to take an up-close look at the tiny sea creatures that live in the harbor. You’ll discover why the smallest animals in the ocean are actually the most important!

Note: This program is NOT a drop-off program.

Cost: $10/5 for non-members and CCS members respectively. This program is already full.
