Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents P.I.E. Story Theatre - an interactive eclectic performance of adapted fairy tales, fables, and original stories in the “story theatre” style created by Viola Spolin and Paul Sills. Five actors use wooden stools, small props, narration, mime and creative characters to present an exciting and fun 40-minute show with selections from a repertory of thirty stories. Favorites include Casey at the Bat, The Little Engine and Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Art on the Lawn is back for the 2019 summer season! Join the Provincetown Public Library for a fun and interactive summer arts and crafts experience for children of all ages. The front lawn of the historic building will be transformed into a creative space for kids to experiment with different materials, while exploring their own artistic imaginations. To showcase each child’s own artistic self-expression, kids will be encouraged to use different mediums, selected by the library, to decorate a large blank canvas with their own creations.  Potential mediums include paint, crayons, chalk, finger-paint, and markers.  The kids will love it!

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater presents P.I.E. Story Theatre - an interactive eclectic performance of adapted fairy tales, fables, and original stories in the “story theatre” style created by Viola Spolin and Paul Sills. Five actors use wooden stools, small props, narration, mime and creative characters to present an exciting and fun 40-minute show with selections from a repertory of thirty stories. Favorites include Casey at the Bat, The Little Engine and Three Billy Goats Gruff.

The Provincetown Art Association and Museum is hosting Art Time for a second year! Join Michael Gillane for a week of fun, hands-on projects. Each day brings a new project to explore and experiment with! Begin the week with 2D drawing, painting, and printmaking, getting inspiration from both observation and imagination. Close out the week with 3D sculpting projects. Freedom of expression will be emphasized! There will be helpers in the room to aid with varying degrees of complexity in the projects.

Children will alternate between watching educational short videos in the theater and enjoying creative projects and games. Activities organized by Cape Cod Children's Place early childhood education professionals. Thanks to HBO Kids, this program is free but registration is required. If you register for this program, your child will be guaranteed a spot during Family Week. All children must be potty-trained to attend.

The Provincetown Art Association Museum is hosting a new afternoon Art Time! Don’t miss this fiber arts and puppet making workshop with artist H. Gene Thompson. Students will build a deeper understanding of relating to puppets—as an artist, as a creator, and as a puppeteer. They will collaborate to develop characters who will interact in a performance space and with other sculptural elements. Using a range of materials including papier mâché, foam, paint, and fabric dye, they will create puppets who come to life through innovation and creativity.

Clambake is open to all Protectors Circle members, anyone who plans to join the Protectors Circle during the event, and all other major contributors to Family Equality’s work. With an old-fashioned feast of steamed lobsters, remarks by some very special guests, and a sunset family dance overlooking all of Provincetown, Clambake is one of our most beloved events. Calling all teens!  CLEAN & CLEAR® is proud to host a pre-Family Pride Parade event for all teens 13+ attending Family Week with Family Equality Council or COLAGE at the historic Crown & Anchor Paramount Room!  We welcome teens and their parents to join us for complimentary delicious treats and beverages, fun free giveaways, a live DJ, and an inspirational talk from our official CARE WITH PRIDE representative Aydian Dowling. 

Aydian has taken on redefining what it is to be a man since he first began his journey in 2009.  As a speaker and advocate, getting his start on YouTube with over 5 million channel views, Aydian has been speaking out about his transition journey, discussing what it is to defy the binary of gender in 2018. 

This event is directly before the Family Pride Parade, so afterwards we will all walk over to the parade route and form a marching group and anyone who would like to join our teen contingent is encouraged to — and of course, parade accessories will be provided!

The Center for Coastal Studies pioneered freeing whales entangled in fishing gear in 1984.  Techniques created here have now been exported to rescuers all over the world. Learn what it takes to free a whale or turtle trapped in gear. See the tools and pictures of rescues, then try your hand to “free” your own whale.  This program is designed for kids ages 6-12.  $5.
